Thanks Jen! I like showing process once in a while because I like when other artists show their process.

I liked seeing your process, and the colors are so bright and vibrant. It's a great fall picture.

My favorites are the yellow and also the earth tones stage that you liked (more than the finish actually). Interesting. I think I like the yellow stage because you can still see the drawing and the third stage because of the limited palette. I'll have to try more images with a limited palette. Thanks for commenting!

I like the colors in the finished piece, but I also like the third step with just the earthtones. It's always so interesting to get a glimpse at the process. Cute scene - it definitely captures fall fun.

Thanks Vanessa! I'll eventually have a watercolor portfolio again, or at least that's one thing I'm working towards (right now it's all digital). It's good to know this would work.

Thank you Courtney! It took a lot longer than I thought it would! Originally it was supposed to be a quick painting. Let's see, the timeline was: Sketch started at night and finished/reworked the next day. I ended up rushing the painting a bit, but I was able to finish the painting part in a day (working most of the day and into the night, with short breaks to let things dry). The next day I did the inking. So, three days, lots of hours. I should really keep track of that sometime.

I also love glimpsing your process! This one is a total delight. How long do you estimate it took you from start to finish? It's so great and so fun. I love the expression on the face of the girl in the leaf pile!!

I love when artist show the process! I really need to do more of this myself. It's wonderful and such a great teaching tool as well. This is such a lovely display of Autumn fun! I love all the characters and the action as well. This would work as a spread for a story or an ad or a great portfolio peace. It just all works so well. The colors are beautiful and full of life and fun. You did a wonderful job on this piece. Now to remember all that I said here and say it at WW. See if you hadn't even my brains I would have remember. Ahhh, what's my name again??? he he he he!
